Community rules
The Tambayan (called Community outside the Philippines) is where people share what they made with our apps: Gawa designs, Timpla recipes, Lipad rockets, Stratify strategies, game setups and ideas. These rules keep it useful, safe and kind.
What is welcome
- Things you made yourself in the app: a circuit, a robot, a rocket, a program, a recipe, a strategy, a battle setup.
- Work that helps people learn or build something useful, or is just fun: school projects, experiments, tools for homes, schools, farms and communities.
- Ideas and bug reports that help us improve the apps.
- Remixes of other people's shares that really change them. The original stays credited.
What is not allowed
- Anything built to hurt people: weapons, targeting or firing systems, payload drops, explosives, homemade rocket motors or propellants, guided rockets.
- Drugs and poisons: controlled substances, their precursors, poisons, synthesis or extraction steps, or health and cure claims.
- Unsafe builds presented as safe, for example mains-voltage projects for beginners without the warning they need.
- Spying, hacking or jamming, or tracking people without their consent.
- Personal details: phone numbers, emails, addresses, links, or private information about anyone.
- Ads and selling, or anything rude, hateful, sexual or bullying.
- Copied work: recipes, designs or photos taken from someone else.
- Trading (Stratify): strategies only. No profit or win-rate claims, "guaranteed" results, signals, or names of prop firms and brokers. Strategies are ideas to test, not advice; trading is risky.
How sharing is checked
- Everything is checked before anyone else can see it.
- Gawa designs get an instant check: real Gawa designs made to help people go live at once with the Legit stamp. Anything unclear waits for a person.
- Everything else is checked by Golden Boy Labs twice a day, usually within a day. Doubtful items are decided by the owner of Golden Boy Labs.
- If yours is not approved, you see the reason in the app (My shared …) and can fix it and share again.
- Anyone can report a shared item or a leaderboard name. Three reports take it down until we look again.
What sharing means
You keep ownership of what you made. By sharing, you let Golden Boy Labs show it with the name you chose in the apps and on goldenboylabs.dev, and let others open it, use it, remix it and share links to it, always credited to you. Timpla recipes may also appear, credited to you, in Timpla's free recipe library and cookbooks. You can take it down at any time from the same device (My shared … → Take it down), or by emailing privacy@goldenboylabs.dev. Copies others already saved on their own devices stay with them.
Class spaces (Gawa)
- Teachers can make a private class and give students a join code. Only people with the code see what is posted there.
- The same rules apply inside a class. Use your first name or a nickname.
- The teacher decides what becomes public. A design made public gets the normal check and, if approved, the Legit stamp with the student's name and the school.
- Teachers: keep your teacher key private, and make a new join code if the old one spreads beyond your class.
Salpakan player names and fair play
- Your player name is public on the leaderboards. Choose a nickname: no full names, contact details, links, or anything rude, hateful or sexual (also not spelled with numbers or lookalike letters). Names that imitate someone else, Golden Boy Labs, or the arbiter are refused.
- Names are unique: two names that differ only in capitals, accents, spacing or lookalike characters count as the same name.
- One player per person. Don't play rated battles against yourself or a friend just to trade points; rated battles between the same two players count at most 5 times a day, and computer levels stop paying after 5 wins a day each.
- Leaving a rated battle loses it (after two minutes away on your turn); if the opponent leaves in the first 10 moves, the battle is not rated.
- Names reported by three networks are hidden until we look. We may reset a rating, remove badges or remove a player that breaks these rules. Every rating change is logged so we can check.
Salpakan tournaments
- Organizers (schools, clubs, communities) need a claimed player name. An organizer is responsible for the tournament: its name, description and prizes text follow the same rules as player names (nothing rude, no links), and the join code should go only to the people meant to play. At most 3 new tournaments per organizer a day, and 5 running at once.
- Prizes are provided by the organizer; Golden Boy Labs does not hold or pay prizes and is not responsible for them. Any dispute about a prize is between the organizer and the players.
- Joining: players need a claimed player name and the 6-character join code. Wrong codes are limited per network and per player. The organizer may set the lowest and highest rank allowed. Spectators need no code and no account.
- Format: single elimination, Classic 1 vs 1 rules. Seeds follow the players' ratings when the organizer starts; when the number of players isn't a power of two, the top seeds get byes. Matches are won by the first to 2 games up to and including the quarter-finals, the first to 3 in the semi-finals and the first to 5 in the final. Drawn games are replayed; the first move alternates each game (the higher seed starts game 1).
- Clock: 15 minutes per player per game unless the organizer chose 5 to 30. Running out of time loses the game. Each army has 3 minutes to deploy, or the arbiter deploys it at random.
- No-shows: a player who hasn't opened their game within the organizer's no-show time (10 minutes unless set otherwise) loses the match. If neither player comes, the higher seed goes through. Leaving a game follows the rated-battle rule above.
- The organizer decides disputes: they can award a game to a player, mark a forfeit, remove a player (who loses the match they are in), and pause or cancel the tournament. They can't decide a match they play in.
- Fair play: spectators see games with a delay (30 seconds unless the organizer chose otherwise) and never see a hidden rank before a game ends. Passing information to a player during a game is cheating; organizers may forfeit a player for it, and we may remove players or tournaments that break these rules. Tournament games are rated; the same-pair and hourly limits don't apply to them.
- Finishing a tournament (of 4 or more players) counts toward the Hero ranks, and so does winning one.
Under 18?
Ask a parent, guardian or teacher before you share or join a leaderboard. Use a nickname and leave your school blank unless an adult says it's OK.
Safety note
Designs, simulations and numbers in our apps are for learning and early design. Anything people stand under, ride, fly or plug into the wall needs proper checks by a qualified person. Follow your country's rules for drones and model rockets.
