LIPAD

Fly real aircraft, launch real rockets to orbit and the Moon, and play with gravity. Everything follows real physics: the same lift, thrust, drag and gravity real pilots and astronauts deal with.

Fly

12 aircraft from the Wright Flyer to the SR-71, and a helicopter. Take off, land, race through rings.

Launch

9 real rockets. Reach space, get into orbit, fly to the Moon and land on it with Saturn V.

Space

A gravity sandbox. Throw planets, build solar systems, crash stars together.

Play on the TV

Open Lipad on the TV (its browser, a cast tab or screen mirroring) and fly with a phone as the controller. Tap TV & VR.

Any controller

Keyboard, touch, Xbox and PlayStation controllers, flight sticks and throttles, phone tilt, VR hand controllers. Tap Controls.

Virtual reality

Sit in the cockpit with a VR headset (Meta Quest and others) or a phone in a cardboard viewer.

Controls and settings

Practice emergencies

Real pilots and astronauts practise things going wrong, so they know what to do. Turn this on and now and then something will break: an engine stops, the flaps stick, a bird hits the window. A card tells you the steps, and every one can be fixed or landed safely.

Game controllers and flight sticks

Xbox and PlayStation controllers work at once: left stick flies, right stick turns the rudder, triggers set the power, A = wheels or stage, B = brakes or parachute, X = view, Y = forces or autopilot, D-pad = flaps or time speed.

Flight stick, throttle or wheel? Tap Learn my controller and move each control when asked.

TV, phone controller and VR

On the big screen

Open goldenboylabs.dev/lipad in the TV’s web browser (or on a computer connected to the TV), then:

It shows a 5-letter code for the phone.

On the phone

Type the code from the TV. Tilt the phone or use the thumb stick.

Cast instead

Chrome with a Chromecast or a TV that supports casting. This phone becomes the controller.

Virtual reality

Headset: open goldenboylabs.dev/lipad in the headset’s browser (Meta Quest and others). Right stick flies, left stick is rudder and power, A = wheels, X/Y = flaps. Phone VR shows two pictures side by side; turn your head to look around and fly with a game controller or a second phone.

Install Lipad

  1. Open goldenboylabs.dev/lipad in Safari.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  3. Open Lipad from the Home Screen: it works offline too.

On Android and computers: the browser menu › Install app.
